Yeltsin and Putin: Leadership in the сontext of Russia’s political transformation

Abstract

This article discusses political and psychological profiles of Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin – Russian leaders whose presidencies were marked by drastic geopolitical and historical changes and the emergence of new types of political leadership. The author reveals a personologybased approach, which analyzes politician’s idiosyncrasies and style of political role.
