Argentina and Spain are long-standing political and economic partners, bonded by historical, cultural, and humanitarian ties. The bilateral relations have always been privileged strategic ones. Meanwhile, the fruitful and comprehensive cooperation experienced the periods of sharp differences. The article analyzes the Spanish Argentine relations in the 21 st century, complicated by ideological incompatibilities of the ruling elites, and discusses the causes of the normalization of broken relations and the return of the dialogue to the traditional mainstream.
