Abstract

The article takes Salafi community in Federal Republic of Germany as an example of the Islamic radicalism phenomenon in the world today. Much attention has been devoted to the formation and evolution of the Salafism religious doctrine since the ninth century and to the present time.Besides, the article analyses social and ethnic composition of the Salafi community, reasons for its growth, main trends, etc. The article ends up with some forecasts.
