Abstract

The article aims to provide analysis of the following issues. First, to determine the theoretical approach to the analysis of state-building in the imperial periphery. Second, to analyse the political processes in Kosovo, Abkhazia and South Ossetia before and after diplomatic recognition. In conclusion is made an attempt to establish the effectiveness of partial recognition in the framework of state-making and the problematic state’s place in international relation.
