The article considers the features and intermediate results of the process of weakening of the Atlantic links during Trump’s presidency using the example of international security sphere. The paper determines the reasons of the deterioration of relations between the USA and the EU and consequences of it, including PESCO initiative. The article also investigates the key contradictions between the USA and the European continental powers in NATO on the military-economic issues and the issues of the Alliance military presence in Eastern Europe. The paper outlines the perspectives of cooperation between the USA and the European NATO counterparts.
