The article analyses the process of the weakening of FRG Atlantic links in the military-strategic sphere during the Trump’s presidency. The questions of mutual perceptions of the 45 th president’s administration and Merkel’s government as NATO partners are considered. The paper determines the features and borders of cooperation between Germany and the USA in the struggle with the structures of international terrorism and considers the possibilities for strategic maneuver of Germany in circumstances of weakening of the Atlantic links.
