By the late 2010 s Turkish-American relations have reached their lowest point in history. The set of problems in bilateral relations and discord of primary interests are determined by institutional factors, fundamental differences in approaches towards global and regional order among the political leadership of both countries. The paper analyses the current crisis of Turkish-American relations in three interrelated dimensions: as a decline of the «Turkish model», as an erosion of the institutional solidarity within the triangle of Turkey – USA – NATO, and as strategic divergence in perceptions of regional and international security threats.
Turkey, USA, NATO, Middle East, «Turkish model», international security.
