The article analyzes «secrets» of success of Pablo Iglesias – the leader of the Podemos party, which at the time of global crisis turned into the Spain’s third party according to its degree of influence eroding the traditional two-partyism. It is shown that in the activities of Iglesias the elements of novelty are intertwined with the characteristics of political leaders of the traditional type and the latter are steadily growing.
