Over the past two decades, the European Union has seen a significant strengthening of pan-European political institutions, including pan-European parties (European parties). In the last 10-15 years, especially after the migration crisis of 2015, eurosceptic parties have formed and strengthened within the European party-political system, which were able to get their candidates into all the leading EU institutions, including the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament. One of the key aspects in the program documents of these parties was the issue of migration and adaptation of migrants to the European community. This forced the traditional pro-European parties: the center-right European People's Party, the center-left Party of European Socialists, the liberal party the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe and the environmental European Green Party, to pay special attention to this problem and propose solutions to the European Commission. Eurosceptic parties also expressed their proposals regarding combating illegal migration: European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), Identity and Democracy, and the Party of the European Left. The ECR party is particularly active in this issue, which since 2020 has been headed by the leader of the Brothers of Italy party D. Meloni, who in 2022 headed the government of Italy, the country most affected by the influx of migrants to Europe. The article presents the positions of the leading European parties, which have their own factions in the European Parliament, on the problems of migration and adaptation of migrants, and shows how these parties intend to solve them in order to convince European voters on the eve of the elections to the European Parliament.
