The collapse of the USSR, the decline of Marxism, and the crisis of the Communist parties in the last quarter of the twentieth century gave rise to the illusion that leftists and radical left movements had no future. For many years, this topic has disappeared from the field of view of researchers. In reality, radical leftist movements have never disappeared from the socio-political scene. Nowadays, left-wing parties/movements are conquering new spaces and rethinking their ideological attitudes. In the past, self–absorbed people increasingly identify with social movements - women's, environmental, and anti-war. In the modern world, they gain considerable political weight, being a response to the contradictions and social divisions that have accumulated in society. "It is impossible to understand the causes of a revolt without examining its demands, its course of action, and its conquests," А. Camus wrote. We tried to identify the potential of left-wing radicalism and gauchism and understand the reasons why it persists in the modern world; what role left-wing radicals play in the political process and what impact their activities have on the political life of the world. Can their activities have positive results, or does it only bring violence and chaos into the lives of States? The analysis focuses on parties and movements of the radical left; tactics and strategy of the leaders leading the radical left protest, as well as the participants of the protest movements themselves, their motivation and social profile.
left-wing radicalism, anarchists, trotskyists, wokeism, social protest, rebellion, violence.
