Abstract

The article provides the first comprehensive examination of the main forms and features of anarchist movements in the world at the present stage, which is characterized by growing public interest in anarchism and the spread of anarchist groups to new regions of the planet (including many Asian countries). Anarchists advocate libertarian (anarchist) communism, a stateless society of social equality without any power or coercion, based on general self-government (self-management) and voluntary coordination "from below". Acting in various organizational forms (anarchist ideological groups, anarcho-syndicalist trade unions, autonomous groups, etc.), they are currently actively involved in various protest movements (alter-globalization, the "indignant" movement, "Occupy", protests against neoliberal anti-social reforms, etc.). As a radical wing of social movements, anarchists see their task in asserting the practices of self-government in the struggle and neutralizing the influence of political parties and groups that are focused on the struggle for power and electoral strategy. The influence of anarchists in social movements is carried out not only directly through the propaganda of anarchist ideology and the values of social self-government, but also through the dissemination of organizational forms and anti-authoritarian methods of decision-making. The article reveals the main methods of activity of modern anarchists, including the organization of general meetings - assemblies, the tactics of the "black bloc", the conduct of strikes, the creation of communes and self-governing public spaces, as well as cultural work. When writing the article, both the materials of the anarchists themselves and the research of various analysts, political scientists and sociologists were used.
