The article evaluates civil society institutions and their efficiency in Turkey. The author put emphasis on the accommodation of «Western Patterns» to Turkish culture and conditions. The paper analyzes the formation and functioning of the «non-western model» of civil society and defines the main trajectories and determinants of its development.
