In the article are presented the specifics of cyclic development of the society, sources and theoretical approaches to the analysis of this phenomenon. The essence and the features of display of world economic crisis, as phases of economic cycle in the countries of European Union are exposed. Basic political measures, directed against the crisis in European countries and results of their realization are analysed.
