In the paper the author considers basicproblems in the EU – China economic cooperation under the context of the world financial crisis. Each participant of this cooperation has its own position in search of a way from the present crisis situation which upsets the world economy. The author reveals particularities of the currency policy of China and the role of the yuan in the regional economic cooperation.
