The article deals with the attitude of the present generation of Poles to the events of the Volyn massacres that took place during the Second World War and analyzes the resolutions of the Sejm concerning the Volyn massacres, the data of sociological surveys on the mentioned events, the reflection of the Volyn events in art, in particular in the film «Volyn». Attention is paid to history issue, the relationship of Poles and Ukrainians in interwar Poland are discussed.
