The article shows how the events of the Second World War are reflected in the collective consciousness and political preferences of the modern Romanian society. Special attention is paid to revaluation of events of that time, including rehabilitation of the right-wing legionary movement and activities of Marshal Antonescu – the head of the Romanian state in the period of active hostilities of Romania on the side of Nazi Germany.
