New NATO strategy in Afghanistan

Abstract

The author takes under scrutiny the new strategy of NATO in Afghanistan. The regional approach is discussed as well as the problems of national army-building, economy reconstruction and lack of local support for central authorities. Among issues of analysis are drugs production and trafficking. The author stresses the difficulties with the new stabilization model.
