The article exposes particular aspects of some NATO member states’ contributions to the military operation in Afghanistan that stem from their threat perceptions, approaches to terrorism, histories, capabilities and battle experiences. The author sheds some light on the confusing set of problems disrupting the NATO states’ unity of action in this country.
