The article studies the EU-Latin American strategic partnership. Special attention is given to the stages of negotiation process between the EU and different sub-regional associations of Latin America. The author explores the main trends in transatlantic trade, economic relations as a whole, and also defines the recent priorities and features of cooperation between the European Union and Latin American-Caribbean (LAC) region, both on the bilateral and the multilateral level.
