The features of post-soviet Ukraine’s legal policy

Abstract

This article deals with the main directions of legal politics in the Ukraine in 1991–2016. Its nature and content underwent the influence of inconsistent and contradictory politics of the Ukrainian leadership which tried to attain the balance between the European Union and Russia until February 2014, ignoring the country’s national interests. All that led to a coup-d’état, cardinal revision of foreign-policy and social-economic strategy and also radical change of legal politics.
