Political paradigm of the current head of the Holy See on Latin America, Europe and issues of democracy, is characterized by novelty and critical approach along with its inherent continuity. The article analyzes the policy of Pope Francis on the above mentioned issues through the prism of the Latin American factor. The article outlines its significant role in the formation of the political ideas of the pontiff, his close attention to the region, as well as issues of democracy and a critical view on the integration processes in Europe.
