The causes of the migrant crisis conditioned by the short-sighted policy of the European Union, which followed the USA geo-political interests as regards to the countries of the Arab Muslim world are examined in the article. The possible consequences of the migrant crisis, its influence on the internal situation in the European Union and the danger of the spread of radical Islamism are analyzed.
